Our EB community is putting their
needles in place to make EB Quilts!
This is done to spread awareness
and raise funds for a cure. One of our EB moms, Linnet, is stitching
the squares together and making them into beautiful quilts like the ones pictured
on this page.
What do we do with these quilts
once they are finished? We donate them to Lynn Anderson for the EBMRF,
the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. Lynn is involved in
several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for a cure, and she will
start auctioning the first quilt this summer.
Family and friends of EB patient Garrett Spaulding made a quilt that brought in
$80,000 for EB research at the 2002 Force
for Good Gala and Auction in Salt Lake City, Utah.
If you have EB, if your child has
EB or if you lost a loved one to EB, I hope you can participate in this project.
Once the quilt is finished we will post pictures of it on this website.
